COMSTECH–CEMB Fellowship: Connecting Young Scientists Through Research
August 27, 2026—The COMSTECH–CEMB Fellowship Programme is a valuable initiative aimed at strengthening scientific capacity and fostering research collaboration among young researchers from OIC member states. Through this programme, the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), University of the Punjab, Lahore, provides hands-on training and exposure to modern techniques and approaches in molecular biology and biotechnology.
As part of the current fellowship cohort, Mr. Ibrahim Safiyanu Darma from Nigeria and Dr. Sipping Kemegne Marius Tresor from Cameroon have successfully completed their two-month training programme in Molecular Biology at CEMB. During their stay, they received practical training and gained valuable experience in molecular biology techniques and laboratory research.
We are also pleased to welcome Ms. Sadia Haque Tamana from Bangladesh, who has recently joined CEMB under the COMSTECH–CEMB Fellowship Programme and will undertake two months of research training in Molecular Biology. Director CEMB, Prof. Dr. Moazur Rahman, distributed completion certificates to the fellows.
CEMB is proud to contribute to the professional development of young scientists through this programme and looks forward to further strengthening South–South scientific cooperation, knowledge exchange, and collaborative research. We extend our sincere gratitude to COMSTECH for its continued support and confidence in CEMB as a centre for advanced molecular biology training.
