The Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB) is proud to announce that Ms. Andleeb Hanif has successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis in a public defense held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Her research, titled “Investigation of Genetic Predisposition and Clinical Manifestation in Pakistani Patients with Hematological Disorders,” explored the genetic factors contributing to blood disorders in the local population, offering valuable insights into their clinical implications.

Ms. Hanif carried out her research under the expert supervision of Prof. Muhammad Idrees and Dr. Ahmed Ali Shahid, contributing to the understanding of genetic predispositions in hematological diseases. The external examiners for her defense were National Distinguished Professor Dr. Kauser Abdullah Malik and Head of Bioinformatic and Biotechnology department Government College University Faisalabad, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qasim Awan. Dr. Kauser Abdullah Malik praised the depth and significance of Ms. Andleeb’s work.

During the event, Director of CEMB, Prof. Moazur Rahman expressed his gratitude to the esteemed external examiners for taking the time to evaluate the thesis and contribute to the academic discourse.
