January 23, 2025- CEMB proudly announces that Ms. Fareeha Fatima has successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis titled “Genetic Determinants of Intellectual Disability in Pakistan.” Her groundbreaking research sheds light on the genetic factors contributing to intellectual disabilities, paving the way for advanced diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

Ms. Fatima conducted her research under the expert supervision of Dr. S. Riazuddin and Dr. Asma Ali Khan. The defense session was honored by Prof. Shahid Baig (SI, HI), Head of Life Sciences at the Health Services Academy, and Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Head of the Biotechnology Department at Islamia University Bahawalpur, as external examiners.
