SOS Foundation and CEMB Mark World Water Day with Special Session

Save Our Society (SOS) Foundation, in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), organized a special session to commemorate World Water Day. The event aimed to highlight the critical issue of water scarcity and explore innovative solutions for water conservation.

Dr. Shaista Sohail, CEO of SOS Foundation, graced the occasion as the guest speaker. She was warmly welcomed by Dr. Moazur Rahman, Director CEMB, who acknowledged her invaluable contributions to the progress of CEMB’s research initiatives through her support from the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

During her insightful presentation, Dr. Shaista elaborated on the pressing issue of water resource depletion and emphasized the role of her NGO in addressing this challenge. She encouraged researchers to devise innovative strategies for water conservation and sustainable management. Her talk was followed by an engaging interactive session where participants actively contributed their ideas and questions, showcasing their enthusiasm for the cause.

Dr. Azra Mehmood delivered a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the SOS Foundation in raising awareness about water conservation. At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Shaista Sohail, on behalf of SOS Foundation, presented souvenirs to Dr. Moazur Rahman, Director CEMB, Prof. Kausar Malik, and Dr. Azra Mehmood in recognition of their efforts. Additionally, certificates of participation were distributed to students and members of the organizing team. In a gesture of appreciation, Dr. Moazur Rahman along with Dr. Kausar Malik presented a special souvenir to Dr. Shaista Sohail.

The session successfully fostered awareness about water conservation and inspired the academic and research community to contribute towards preserving this vital resource.
