on her professional journey by joining the Centre of&nbsp;Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB) in 2008, shortly after obtaining her BSc Hons. in&nbsp;Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from the University of Punjab in 2007. Since then, she has&nbsp;held the role of a research officer in the Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Lab. Her&nbsp;pioneering work includes the establishment of laboratory protocols for isolating stem cells from&nbsp;adipose tissue. A significant portion of her research has been dedicated to addressing liver&nbsp;fibrosis through innovative stem cell therapies.<br>In 2013, Dr. Maria enrolled in the MPhil Molecular Biology program at CEMB, successfully&nbsp;graduating in 2015 with an outstanding 4.0 CGPA, thereby securing well-deserved gold medals.<br>Subsequently, in October 2015, she embarked on her Ph.D. journey in the Molecular Biology&nbsp;program at CEMB, culminating in her successful completion of the Ph.D. program in 2022.&nbsp;<br>Presently, Dr. Maria&#8217;s research thrust revolves around harnessing the potential of stem cells to&nbsp;combat liver diseases such as fibrosis, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. She utilizes&nbsp;advanced molecular techniques like Real Time PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and&nbsp;Immunostaining to assess the therapeutic efficacy of stem cells for treating the aforementioned&nbsp;conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Selected Publications:<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1.
