scholars, Ms. Shumaila Moazzam and Mr. Farhad Khan, on the successful defense of their Ph.D. viva voce examinations held on 22 July 2026.<br \/>Ms. Shumaila Moazzam successfully defended her doctoral research entitled &#8220;Identification of MicroRNAs Associated with Anthracycline Resistance in Cancer Cells and Their Modulation for Resistance Reversal&#8221; under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kausar Malik. Her research focused on understanding the role of microRNAs in chemotherapy resistance and exploring strategies to reverse anthracycline resistance in cancer cells, contributing to the development of more effective cancer therapeutics.<br \/>The external examiners for Ms. Shumaila Moazzam&#8217;s Ph.D. defense were Prof. Dr. Ikram-ul-Haq, Distinguished Professor and Founder of the Institute of Industrial Biotechnology at Government College University Lahore, and Prof. Dr. Waseem Shehzad, Professor at the Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore.<br \/>Mr. Farhad Khan successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis entitled &#8220;Investigation of RXLR Effector Proteins in Transgenic Potato Against Phytophthora infestans&#8221; under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Idrees Ahmad Nasir and Prof. Dr. Bushra Tabassum.
