Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary Visits CEMB-Punjab University to Strengthen Scientific Collaborations
Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology had the honour of hosting Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary (H.I., S.I., T.I.), Coordinator General of COMSTECH, during his visit to the Centre on November 7, 2025. He held an in-depth meeting with Prof. Dr. Moaz ur Rahman, Director CEMB, along with senior researchers from the Centre.
During the discussion, Dr. Iqbal Choudhary was briefed on the ongoing projects of the Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine Group. Prof. Dr. Iqbal Choudhary emphasized the importance of international scientific cooperation and recommended developing collaborative partnerships with leading research groups in Türkiye to further strengthen the stem cells and regenerative medicine projects at CEMB. He highlighted that multi-country partnerships within the OIC scientific network are essential for accelerating cutting-edge biomedical research.
He also praised the momentum of the Agriculture Reverse Linkage Programme and shared that the academic collaborator, Prof. Dr. Shamsun Nahar Khan from East West University, Bangladesh, will soon participate in hands-on training at CEMB. This visit will be fully supported by COMSTECH, under its program to promote scientific exchange and capacity building among OIC member states.
