August 11, 2026: Prof. Dr. Zulqarnaini, Head of the Environmental Microbiology Laboratory, University of Andalas, Indonesia, delivered a guest lecture at Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology, University of the Punjab on “Anammox Process for Wastewater Treatment,” focusing on the application of the Anammox process as a sustainable and energy-efficient technology for nitrogen removal from wastewater.
The Director CEMB Prof. Moazur Rahman, faculty members, researchers, and students attended the lecture and showed keen interest in the topic. The session provided an engaging platform for scientific interaction and knowledge exchange in the areas of environmental microbiology, biotechnology, and sustainable technologies.
During his visit, Prof. Dr. Zulqarnaini also toured CEMB laboratories and took a keen interest in the ongoing research projects and scientific activities at the Centre.
