August 13, 2026—Prof. Syed Habib Ali Bokhari, Member R&D and Academics, Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, visited the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), University of the Punjab. Director CEMB, Prof. Moazur Rahman, briefed him about the ongoing projects. During his visit, Prof. Habib Bokhari toured the CEMB laboratories and held detailed discussions on the research equipment, laboratory facilities, and ongoing research activities.

Prof. Habib also took interest in CEMB’s commercialized products, including nine cotton varieties, stem cell technologies, biosimilars, and diagnostic kits, as well as the genetic disease screening services offered by CEMB. He appreciated CEMB’s efforts towards translating research into indigenous products and technologies.
