Dr Saad Tahir is Research Officer at the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology
(CEMB), University of the Punjab, Lahore. He is working in Biopharmaceuticals and
Proteomics Laboratory (ISO 9001:2015 Certified). His research interest is
Biopharmaceuticals, Biosimilar, Anticancer proteins and fusion peptides, and drug
delivery systems like nano particles and exosomes. He is working is cell line lab and
developed cell line assays for different drugs. He has worked in project for
developing technology for indigenous production of Taq Polymerase, HotStart
Polymerase, Pfu Polymerase, Reverse transcriptase, 2X PCR Mix, qPCR Mix, 2X
HotStart Mix. He also worked in different projects for the development of Human
recombinants therapeutics like Interferon alpha, Filgrastim, PEGfilgrastim, Proleukin,
Thrombex. He has published more than 21 international publication. He supervised 2
M.Phils. and many internship students at CEMB. He developed first ISO 9001-2015
certified protein production facility at CEMB.
