Vice Chancellor PU Prof. Muhammad Ali Chairs 61st CEMB-PU BoG Meeting
June 9, 2026: The 61st meeting of the Board of Governors (BoG) of the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), University of the Punjab, was held today at CEMB. Chairman BoG Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali (T.I., S.I.) along with board members Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (DG PAFDA), Prof. Dr. Mohammad Akmal (Chairman Pakistan Science Foundation), Prof. Dr. Naeem Rashid (School of Biological Sciences Punjab University), Prof. Dr. Zahra Hasan (Aga Khan University Karachi), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali (Chairman Microbiology Quaid e Azam University), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Nasir (Advisor Research & Innovation Division HEC), and a representative of the Ministry of Federal Education.attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Director CEMB, Prof. Dr. Moazur Rahman, briefed the Board on the Centre’s ongoing research initiatives, commercialization activities, and future strategic plans. He highlighted recent achievements and ongoing efforts to strengthen research, innovation, and industry linkages.
Earlier in the day, the Selection Board for TTS faculty was also held at CEMB.
The Board appreciated the Centre’s progress and reaffirmed its support for advancing research and innovation at CEMB.
